Immediately after graduating from college, I enlisted in the USAF and traveled for four years with the NORAD Band (jazz and show band). I became a Christian about one-and-a-half years after enlisting, and that changed everything. I went from feeling unfulfilled to feeling excited about life!

Three days after finishing basic training, I married Laura, my college sweetheart. We have been married for 43 years, and are blessed with four children, three of them married, and ten grandchildren.

Shortly after finishing my enlistment in the service in 1976, I began working in the trades doing paperhanging and painting as my wife and I began our family. Beginning in 1980, I worked in various positions within local churches—as assistant, associate, and senior pastor. I also participated in missionary work, both domestically and abroad. I’ve experienced challenges that left me feeling stuck, and I’ve also experienced the joys of breakthrough, purposefulness, and fulfillment.

Looking back, I feel I have been “life coaching” all along. Most of my life has been marked by helping people succeed. I was trained and certified as a life coach by Sam and Brenda Chand’s Dream Releaser Coaching certification program, acquiring the resources to help others even more successfully. I will inherently coach and mentor people the rest of my life.
