Coaching is all about trust. You need to feel safe in order to address the real causes that are keeping you “stuck.” Trust is a core value that people see and feel at Helping People Succeed. Our initial phone call usually feels like a meeting at your favorite coffee shop—a very relaxed environment. It will be a friendly and comfortable conversation in which I am not interested in promoting my own agenda—quite the opposite! I want to keep things relaxed and get to know you. This is a vital part of the process at Helping People Succeed.
One of the most important elements of coaching is listening. I genuinely listen and want to understand where you’re coming from. I have found that by talking through what’s kept you stuck we can bring to the surface, and deal with the hidden roadblocks, not just symptoms.
When we are forming a plan to move forward, I will work with you to develop a strategy that makes sense for your individual situation. You will experience much more powerful results when the strategies are your own. I am not here to tell you what to do, but rather to help you to discover the real problems and solutions yourself. Think of me not only as your coach, but also as an accountability partner. I’m going to help you stay with your plan and do what needs to be done. Ultimately, I want to be able to equip you with the tools to be able to continue on your own. One of my great joys is to celebrate with you when I’m able to help you succeed.
